Inverclyde Council's new website, www.inverclyde.gov.uk, was launched in October 2007. The new user-friendly site has a completely new design which makes it easier to use, more attractive and more informative than our previous site.
The new-look site is the result of months of detailed work by Council staff in collaboration with specialist website designers Web Labs, who have extensive experience in designing local authority websites. The aim was to make the new site appealing to the eye, colourful and straightforward to use, not to mention full of the most up-todate information on what's going on within the Council.
The new site allows the people of Inverclyde to do many things online, bringing Council services into the 21st Century. One of the interactive features of the new site is our Business Directory, where you can search for contact details for local businesses. Our 'Do it Online' section offers the facility to report road or lighting faults, request services such as a bulk uplift, apply for hall hire, object to a planning application, request a wheelie bin, and much more. Our new easy-to-use events diary will keep you up-to-date with any sporting events, festivals, concerts, children's activities and special events going on in Inverclyde.
There is also an online comments and complaints service where you can tell us your opinion on the new site, as well as any other Council service.
The next phase of development will see the website become fully transactional, allowing you to pay Council Tax bills and make various other payments online. We are keen to hear your views on the new website and will consider any suggestions for improvement. To submit a comment, visit our website at www.inverclyde.gov.uk and click 'Do it Online', where you will find a form called 'Contact Us'. We look forward to hearing from you.

I'm delighted with the new and improved council website. It's more straightforward to use, has the most up-to-date information on what's going on in the Council and gives local people the chance to access services on-line
