From summer 2004 people will be able to access health information through televisions when a new NHS Direct Digital TV service goes live. The Department of Health announced on 19 December that MMTV Ltd has been appointed to develop and run the £15m service over the next 3 years. Over time it is hoped to pilot other services such as a facility to order repeat prescriptions
