Community Master

Content Management System for web portal development
To provide access by all groups to increased information about the community is a pivotal component of Central Government's vision of providing Britain with a modern image and the ability to compete in a global economy. To accommodate this Web-Labs have designed a 'Content Management System' especially to enable 'Communities' to design and build their own web site in minutes and to be totally sustainable by community leaders with no IT skills and at very low cost.

The utilisation of our automatic categorisation to classify content will make the process even more 'fool proof' and ideal for the part time voluntary worker tasked with entering content.
The complying with the ODPM's priority Outcomes could not be simpler the system provides the web presence for Parish Councils, Town Councils, Voluntary Groups, Clubs, Surgeries, Societies and Councillors and the Content Management System ensures the project is sustainable with remote authoring and low cost.
All the web sites developed by the Content management system comply with e-GIF and accessibility standards W3C

Modules designed to support the Content Management System include:
Council meetings/agendas/calendars

SearchMaster

Advanced Search Engine with automatic categorisation / automatic classification system.
Many organisations have large 'information stores' (located on web sites, intranets, document management systems etc.) however, this information is generally not used efficiently i.e. it is not a 'Knowledge Management Repository'. To enable your information stores to be 'cross referenced' and to become a 'Knowledge Management Repository' it is necessary to implement: 1. Automatic Classification 2. Advanced Intuitive Searching

SearchMaster provides these capabilities to organisations wishing to benefit from a powerful but easy to use 'search engine' that will consistently and automatically categorise all of their digital assets wherever they are held, this saving of time and cost this will assist local government and central government clients to comply with the demands of the Gershon report.

SearchMaster will 'spider' external sources of information and return content according to specific categories / classifications enabling a knowledge base to be created and easily maintained.
The system when automatically classifying content will provide a 'suggested list' of classifications that can be manually edited if the 'operator' chooses to add or delete a specific category /classification.

The Driving Standards Agency are using the SearchMaster system to automatically categorise all their digital assets according to the IPSV taxonomy.

Winchester City Council will support their Content Management System by using SearchMaster system to provide an advanced conceptual search engine on their web site and to auto categorise content according to the LGCL taxonomy and to comply with the Hampshire County Councils common categorisation system.
