The Islamic Bank of Britain came into being when the FSA granted authorisation in 2004.

The shareholders currently comprise leading Islamic Banks and other institutions from the Middle East and some individual investors. These individuals include some of the most senior members of dedicated Islamic Banks and finance companies in UK, Qatar, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia all of who share a common passion to create a successful Islamic Bank in Britain.

The Islamic Bank of Britain shares are be made available to all interested individuals as the bank reflects an inclusive culture and welcomes share applications from Muslims and non-Muslims alike. The Islamic Bank of Britain is commercial entity based firmly on the values in Islam designed to meet the financial needs of British Muslims.

As the Islamic Bank of Britain expanded the processing of new applications and created bottlenecks and errors when processing and decision to implement electronic forms to:

  1. Process applications on-line
  2. Check and validate details on-line
  3. Integrate into back office systems

The main objectives of the project were to:

  • Reduce time of processing
  • Reduce Errors and provide a secure application mechanism
  • Reduce Cost of Processing
  • Improve customer relationships

After a comprehensive evaluation and tendering process the Islamic Bank of Britain chose Forms Master from Web-Labs.
The first e-forms to be developed where:

  1. Home Purchase Plan Application
  2. Agreement In Principle Form

These e-Forms provided the Islamic Bank of Britain with the following benefits:

  • Submissions are being integrated into the Backoffice system
  • Information is processed quicker and more effectively using Forms Master's Workflow module
  • Customers' applications are processed accurately and efficiently improving customer service
